Offerig Excellent Private and Group Lessons
At Northwest Guitars Music School we excel at music instruction offering both private and group instruction (workshops). We have some of the best teachers in western Washington and can fit you with the perfect teacher no matter what your style or musical ability. All our teachers are full time professional instructor and players. We don't just show you songs, we show you how to play and understand your instrument.
Our Northwest Guitars School offers Private Lessons in acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, ukulele and vocals. Our private instrument and vocal lessons are taught monthly and have an average cost of $120 per month with special discounts for children under age 16, seniors and special needs. A one-time registration fee of $35 for new students is charged at time of sign-up. For more detail on our policy see our Music Policy and Procedure information.
Student Concerts are available to active students of Northwest Guitars as a supplement to their private lessons. Learning to plan, construct and perform a concert is the next logical step for the student. The student must be able to play their instrument well enough to perform a song in time. Instruction includes song arrangement, accompaniment, amplification, mic technique and stage performance.
Workshops (group lessons) are offered as well in Beginning and Intermediate Songwriting, Tone Development, Playing in a Band, Guitar Essentials and both Acoustic Guitar and Ukelele Group Instruction. Rates are determined per event. We also offer a Student Concert venue on our stage at the Red Couch Lounge. Students can get extra instruction in preparing their material, stage presence, mic technique and more.
Northwest Guitars Music School has been more than a place for teaching and music. Our mission has always been to create a “community” in addition to a music source, providing quality, affordable instruments and equipment, a hub for people who love music at all levels, all at competitive prices and affordable lesson rates. A brief bio of our teachers:
Kevin Fallon Acoustic and Electric Guitar and Songwriting
With over forty years experience playing, writing, recording and performing, Kevin is a published songwriter and seasoned veteran guitarist and performer. With decades of teaching experience, Kevin excels at making learning fun while building a solid foundation and understanding. An accomplished guitarist and bass player, Kevin specializes in acoustic guitar, blues, rock and R&B guitar techniques. When it comes to singing and playing guitar, he can show you the methods to get you moving. He also teaches our popular Songwriting Workshops and How to play with a Rhythm Section workshop.
Vinnie Fallon Guitar and Bass
An expert guitar and bass player, Vinnie specializes in beginning guitar to advanced rock guitar and slap bass techniques including speed playing techniques, tremolo bar techniques, hammering, slapping and popping (and other noise making). Vinnie plays largely by ear and his enthusiasm and rapport with his students have made him much in demand by both children and adults.
E. Pruitt Bass and Beginning Guitar
Bassist “E” is a graduate of the Charlie Parker School for the Performing Arts. He has toured the US, Europe and Asia as a sideman, clinician and soloist. A winner of a number of Bass Awards, he has shared the stage with artists such as Jeff Scheetz, the Scorpions, Ken Tamplin, Tony Macalpine, Paul Stanley of KISS, B.B. King, Dr. John, Brett Michaels of Poison and Greg Howe to name a few. He was one of few bassists contacted by Vernon Reid to fill the open bass position for the band “Living Color”. He teaches both children and adults, beginning to advanced.
Becky Fallon Vocal and Live Performance
Becky brings considerable experience performing live in concerts and on stage. She spent years performing in musicals, summer theater and on live stages all over the world. Becky performed in the USO for our troops at bases in Korea, Taiwan, Guam, the Philippines and other military installations and with Seattle greats “Annie Rose and the Thrillers” a well known R&B revue. Becky studied with Seattle vocal guru, Maestro David Kyle and has most recently performed as one of the Dirty Girls with Lisa Marshall. Becky specializes in teaching a variety of breathing techniques and the mechanics of the singing voice. She will teach you how to expand your range, control your breathing and how to open your throat to find your optimal tone and to sing with power. She is known for taking the intimadition out of learning to sing and making it fun.
Daniel Christopherson Guitar
Published reviews of Daniel’s CD’s compare him to Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Robin Trower and Carlos Santana. With more than 15 years teaching experience and a background as a certified counselor, he is great with kids and students of all levels of rock / shred guitar and acoustic guitar. A Grammy-voting member of the Recording Academy whose songs (production and writing credits) have been played on more than 1000 radio stations. Performed with Guns ‘n Roses for MTV in front of audiences as large as 30,000. Daniel is an independent record producer and owner of Purple Treehouse Recording, with an approach to teaching that emphasizes fun, improvisation and passion. Daniel teaches songwriting in styles ranging from pop and folk, to rock and metal.
Greg Timmons Guitar
Drawing from over 35 years of playing and performing experience, Greg brings a real world approach to teaching. He has studied and worked with artists as diverse as jazz legend Gene Leis, Blues-Rock virtuoso Robben Ford, Prog-Rock master John Petrucci, and Country super picker Albert Lee. Greg specializes in helping students find their own voice on the guitar, as well as offering some unique ideas to help break out of the “box”. An admitted gear-head, Greg can also help with questions on tone, equipment, and setup. Greg’s popular “Iron Chef – Guitar” workshop is also available for intermediate to advanced students looking to expand their current playing. Regardless of the lesson plan, melody and groove are always front and center.
Jeff Nagel Guitar
Originally hailing for Cleveland, Ohio, Jeff has been teaching guitar for over two decades. His approach to teaching encompasses the fundamentals of reading music, building the foundations for good technique, soloing, expanding into different styles, song writing, and instilling a love of music. Jeff believes each student is an individual and is always willing to help students reach their personal musical goals. His strengths lie within the realms of rock, funk, finger-style, classical, blues, rockabilly, classic metal, and the skills required to become a utility player. As a performer, Jeff has played hundreds shows in the greater Midwest market, toured regionally, and has opened for several national acts such as The Pretenders, Hall and Oates, Weird Al Yankovic, Edwin McCain, Jewel,and G.Love. Jeff’s guitar playing can be heard on several artists’ recordings, his own solo material,and the online video demos for the Dr. Z amplifier company (www.drzamps.com). He has also performed with some of the Midwest’s top drawing cover acts. Jeff holds a B.A. from the University of Akron.
Teri Anne Wilson
Guitarist, Composer, Producer, Teri tours and records with local international favorites, The Red Hot Blues Sisters winners of multiple awards including Washington Blues Society Best Band 2008. She blends blues, rock, soul and Latin into her unique style. Teri has been playing guitar since he was in her teenage years. She is able to teach pro players how to improve their techniques and she is especially good with children of all ages making lessons fun, exciting and motivating.

Rob Lindfors Jazz and Blues Guitar
Rob is a trained music teacher who has taught guitar, piano, orchestra, and Composing with Music Technology in Bellevue Public Schools, and is an affiliate faculty member in guitar instruction at Bellevue College where he also has taught Continuing Education courses in guitar and general music. He has a Bachelor of Music, Cum Laude, in Jazz Studies and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Known as a jazz guitarist, Rob can teach all styles but specializes in jazz & blues improvisation, chord melody & chord soloing, chord/bass comping, music theory, and composition. He teaches all ages and levels.
