“When I first came to Northwest Guitars I was a 14 year old kid, scared, intimidated and holding a classical guitar, who loved only Johnny Cash music. With time I grew to have a love for this store and for guitar. With the help of all the teachers there, I have developed into a sociable, friendly musician who is now out there playing concerts and open mics. Kevin and Vinnie Fallon and all the people at Northwest Guitars have created a family atmosphere. Their shop is a place where you can just go and hang out and talk about music and they are so friendly there. They will take the time to find the guitar that’s right for you and the teachers will nurture and develop your skills whether you want to learn guitar, bass, singing, or piano, they will push you to your goals. These people have been such a great influence on me. Instead of that scared little boy who came in with a very biased taste in music I am now a good guitar player ( I like to think) who listens to everything from Muddy Waters, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, to Eric Clapton, Whitesnake, Boston, The Who, and The Eagles.
Shawn and Jon, the guitar repair staff, are great people. They are friendly and are some of the best at what they do. They have always been there whether I broke a string, needed a straplock, or when my pickup died. I can say with no doubt in my mind that the people at Northwest Guitars have really been such a great influence on me and so many others that I know. They have created a family that comes together to share a love and passion for music. Through their encouragement and dedication, Northwest Guitars has and shall keep creating hundreds of musicians. And with the help of the people at Northwest Guitars, I am proud to say that I’m going on to music college.
