A brief bio of our teachers:
Vinnie Fallon Guitar and Bass
An expert guitar and bass player, Vinnie specializes in beginning guitar to advanced rock guitar and slap bass techniques including speed playing techniques, tremolo bar techniques, hammering, slapping and popping (and other noise making). Vinnie plays largely by ear and his enthusiasm and rapport with his students have made him much in demand by both children and adults.
Kevin Fallon Acoustic and Electric Guitar and Songwriting
With over forty years experience playing, writing, recording and performing, Kevin is a published songwriter and seasoned veteran. With decades of teaching experience, Kevin accepts only a handful of students. An accomplished guitarist and bass player, Kevin specializes in acoustic guitar, blues, rock and R&B guitar techniques. When it comes to singing and playing guitar, he can show you the methods to get you moving. He also teaches our popular Songwriting Workshops and How to play with a Rhythm Section workshop.
Eric Snyder Guitar
Also a graduate of Guitar Institute of Technology, Eric is the guitarist for Second Coming, a well known Seattle rock band. Eric excels at rock guitar teaching everything from classic rock to alternative rock. He also teaches acoustic guitar. Eric has been teaching guitar and bass in the Seattle area for many years and has a strong student base. Eric accepts both children and adult students, beginners to advanced.
E. Pruitt Bass and Beginning Guitar
Bassist “E” is a graduate of the Charlie Parker School for the Performing Arts. He has toured the US, Europe and Asia as a sideman, clinician and soloist. A winner of a number of Bass Awards, he has shared the stage with artists such as Jeff Scheetz, the Scorpions, Ken Tamplin, Tony Macalpine, Paul Stanley of KISS, B.B. King, Dr. John, Brett Michaels of Poison and Greg Howe to name a few. He was one of few bassists contacted by Vernon Reid to fill the open bass position for the band “Living Color”. He teaches both children and adults, beginning to advanced.
Becky Fallon Vocal and Live Performance
Becky brings considerable experience performing live in concerts and on stage. She spent years performing in musicals, summer theater and on stage. Becky performed in the USO for our troops at bases in Korea, Taiwan, Guam, the Philippines and other military installations and with Seattle greats “Annie Rose and the Thrillers” a well known R&B revue. Becky studied with Seattle vocal guru, Maestro David Kyle and has most recently performed as one of the Dirty Girls with Lisa Marshall. Becky specializes in teaching a variety of breathing techniques and the mechanics of the singing voice. She will teach you how to expand your range, control your breathing and how to open your throat to find your optimal tone and to sing with power. She will be teaching on Saturdays to begin with for a limited number of students.
Colt Valenti Classical, Acoustic and Electric Guitar
Colt is an extraordinary Seattle-based composer and guitarist who has trained with some of the finest classical guitarists in the world. From traditional classical guitar to finger-style acoustic from classic rock to metal or avant-garde techno rock, Colt can play it all and teach it so that you will be playing in no time. His awards and achievements are too numerous to name but among them Colt holds a Fulbright-Hayes Fellow to Italy, Masters of Music and BMus (Summa Cum Laude with Honors) from The University of Georgia and was the 2005 Northwest Guitar Competition Champion, Calgary Canada. He has studied under the Miguel Cinceguerra Fund Grant, Florence Italy and holds a Diploma of Merit from Accademia Chigiana, Siena Italy, including intensive guitar study with Maestro Oscar Ghiglia.
Daniel Christopherson Guitar
Published reviews of Daniel’s CD’s compare him to Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Robin Trower and Carlos Santana. With more than 15 years teaching experience and a background as a certified counselor, he is great with kids and students of all levels of rock / shred guitar and acoustic guitar. A Grammy-voting member of the Recording Academy whose songs (production and writing credits) have been played on more than 1000 radio stations. Performed with Guns ‘n Roses for MTV in front of audiences as large as 30,000. Daniel is an independent record producer and owner of Purple Treehouse Recording, with an approach to teaching that emphasizes fun, improvisation and passion. Daniel teaches songwriting in styles ranging from pop and folk, to rock and metal.
Greg Timmons Guitar
Drawing from over 35 years of playing and performing experience, Greg brings a real world approach to teaching. He has studied and worked with artists as diverse as jazz legend Gene Leis, Blues-Rock virtuoso Robben Ford, Prog-Rock master John Petrucci, and Country super picker Albert Lee. Greg specializes in helping students find their own voice on the guitar, as well as offering some unique ideas to help break out of the “box”. An admitted gear-head, Greg can also help with questions on tone, equipment, and setup. Greg’s popular “Iron Chef – Guitar” workshop is also available for intermediate to advanced students looking to expand their current playing. Regardless of the lesson plan, melody and groove are always front and center.
Joon Park Classical, Folk, Beginning Guitar and Piano
A University of Washington graduate majoring in Classical Guitar with a classical composition degree from Cornish College of the Arts, Joon-hyung has been playing guitar for the past 20 years. With an extensive range of repertoire covering from Bach Partitas to Argentine Tango, he has been known as a human classical guitar library. Joon also teaches the theoretical aspect of music theory in conjunction with guitar and/or piano lessons for any student in need of school work for his/her music class.
Rob Lindfors Jazz and Blues Guitar
Rob is a trained music teacher who has taught guitar, piano, orchestra, and Composing with Music Technology in Bellevue Public Schools, and is an affiliate faculty member in guitar instruction at Bellevue College where he also has taught Continuing Education courses in guitar and general music. He has a Bachelor of Music, Cum Laude, in Jazz Studies and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Known as a jazz guitarist, Rob can teach all styles but specializes in jazz & blues improvisation, chord melody & chord soloing, chord/bass comping, music theory, and composition. He teaches all ages and levels.
